Boutiques

Since I don't do much shopping for clothing, you might want to google the best boutiques. SoHo, Bleeker Street, and the Flatiron are great for shopping. NYC has quite a few vintage shops too which can be lots of fun.

SoHo and the Village

AG (113 Greene bet Prince and Spring) If you love AG jeans, then stop in.  They will hem your jeans within the day, or at least did that prior to covid.

Anthropologie Several locations around NYC

*Artists and Fleas Chelsea Market, Brooklyn

Bloomingdale's SoHo (Broadway bet Spring and Broome) I like this location; much smaller and more managable

*C O Bigelow (414 6th Ave) You can purchase this brand elsewhere but this spot is worth a visit,  the oldest surviving apothecary–pharmacy in the United States. And then walk next door for a fantastic foot rub!

Ermine New York (11 Prince St) Jewelry by owner/designer Sylvie Buchler

*John Derian (6 E 2nd St) West Village location also; your eyes can't take it all in. Three shop along 2nd Street. My favorite is the one with all the decoupage.

Nespresso (92 Prince and 935 Madison Ave)

Pearl River Mart (Broadway bet Broome and Grand) Great little store with all kinds of inexpensive, kitschy times like journals, food items, teapots

Rag and Bone (119 Mercer St, SoHo) Great shop with the latest for women and men

Sephora (557 Broadway)

Uniqlo (546 Broadway at Spring)

Theory (40 Gansevoort)

Eye Candy (225 W 23rd) Vintage

UES

Aquatalia (965 Madison)

French Sole (980 Lexington) Tons of ballet flats

Intermix (Madison bet 77th and 78th Sts)

Lululemon (Third Ave at 66th St)

Sermoneta Gloves (609 Madison)

Zitomer (Madison bet 75th and 76th Sts) Small department store

UWS

Zabar's (Broadway at 80th St) Deli, prepared foods and housewares

Bleeker Street is a nice street for browsing in Greenwich Village.

Meatpacking District has tons of shopping like the following

Brooklyn

*Front General Store (143 Front St, Brooklyn DUMBO) This little shop has it all. A favorite.
